Through videos, words can go viral and slam poets can become famous overnight. Already in pre-YouTube times, a video format was developed for poetry slam texts, which inspired many slammers to produce their own clips: The Poetry Clip. Poetry Clips are audiovisual poems, slams in the form of video art and lyrical snapshots. The format was developed by the pioneers of the German spoken-word scene, Wolf Hogekamp and Bas Böttcher, who will present a collection of contemporary clips in turns with live performances. The Poetry Clip Gala will be interplay of moving images and stage with different lyrical styles and cinematic productions from low budget to high end.
